Environmental monitoring is essential in today’s pharmaceutical to maintain product safety and quality during manufacturing and distributions. These are of utmost importance in the pharmaceutical industry. Compliance to international standards and guidelines not only preventing the release of potentially contaminated products, but also strengthening the company image by building customer confidence to the products.
In 2009, a number of incidents concerning pharmaceutical products in Hong Kong had caused public concerns on drug safety. The government took immediate measures to address the concerns and define new standard for pharmaceuticals. One of the approaches is ensure manufacturer process (or suggest?) all the pharmaceuticals needs to be complied with GMP standard and eventually complied with the Pharmaceutical Inspection Cooperation Scheme, i.e. the PIC/S standard.
To fulfill the GMP standard, the internal material of the clean room, the way the clean room is operated, the control and quality of air through the clean room are equally important. J&J provides quality assurance and facilitating customer to environment certification for pharmaceutical plants. Scope of work includes Validation of customer’s facilities against GMP standard, complete necessary documents and assist customer to get environment certification for pharmaceutical plants.
J&J has been providing Clean Room Solutions by integrating and collaborating different systems together to form a user-friendly dashboard, which provides customers with a consolidated view of all the key parameters of a clean room, such as temperature, humidity and differential pressure. The Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) not only presents a consolidated view of all key parameter of a clean room, but also in graphic and 3D views. Most importantly, the system enables easy navigations for graphic screens with just one click.
